As the follow-up to The Sm;)e Book by DB Burkeman and Rich Browd, it celebrates 60 years of the iconic smiley face and its wild journey through art, music, pop culture, and rebellion. My role was focused on production design, where I was responsible for translating a diverse and often chaotic visual archive into a cohesive and high-impact layout. I collaborated closely with the publishing team to ensure that the book’s design maintained clarity and rhythm. From managing image flow to ensuring color consistency and preparing files for print, my work helped shape the final form of this tribute to one of pop culture’s most enduring symbols.
